16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.-- 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Waterview provides classes for all age groups, and the classes provide not only religious education but often fellowship and support.

Weekly Class Schedule

Unless specifically noted, the youth meet in the north part of the building, while the adults meet in the south.

Sunday morning classes are divided with the youth all studying the same topics but with varying degree of depth. The adults likewise all study the same topic but seek to apply it in unique ways depending on their common life position. Adult Sunday evening and Wednesday classes are topical in nature, and the students can choose their class of choice. Current topics, classrooms and teachers are listed below.

The Christian’s Destiny
The secular world visits the cemetery as the “final resting place” of humanity. Yet, God tells us we are headed somewhere beyond the grave. This study will explore the destiny of mankind, but especially the Christian. Where are we going? What is heaven really like? How do we prepare for our final destiny. Sam Locke will guide our thoughts and discussion of our ultimate spiritual destination.

Who Is God?
Try explaining God! The best we can do is to say 'here is what he is like.' Usually we use terms like 'omnipresent' or 'omnipotent'. Yet, it leaves us scratching our head and the original question remains. Matt Adkins will guide this study as it explores the attributes of God. How does an all-powerful, all-knowing God interact with men who are sinful, limited and stubborn. The study will provide a powerful insight into the God we serve.

Christian Ethics
Life is filled with daily decisions. Many are trivial choices. But a significant number involve bigger questions—questions of ethics. Everyone has ethics, even those who seem not to have them. But what unique characteristics of right and wrong, good and bad, just and unjust apply to Christians? What higher standards are we called to live by? What are your ethics? What should they be? Lawrece Smith will provide invaluable insights into a subject vital to daily life, but one seldom examined in detail.

Mighty Men - (Special Class for Young Men)
Men face mounting pressures in their lives. We live in a feminized age which sometimes denigrates the role of husbands and fathers. Yet, God’s plan had roles for both men and women. How do young men serve as suitable role models for their children, leaders in their homes, and develop as Christ would have them in the current climate. Jim Alexander and Jim Stigers will moderate this interactive class for young men.

Faith Builders

Children Don't Just Grow...They Have To Be Built!

Children are tender to us. We nurture them, feed them, and educate them. But how do we grow their faith while we grow them to adulthood?

At Waterview, we are Faith Builders!

A new program called Faith Builders promotes learning and excitement for children. Following Bible classes, teachers will take children aged 2 through kindergarten to the Kindergarten classroom. For 15 minutes they will sing and prepare for Faith Builders. (Parents who want their children to attend worship with them can check them out at this time.)

If VBS was exciting, then Faith Builders keeps it going every week! Come and see how to build your children at Faith Builders!

And Invite Your Friends and Neighbors!
