What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is a way to have various programs automatically delivered to your desktop which can then be downloaded to your iPod or MP3 player using a protocol called RSS (Really Simple Syndication). These programs are known as syndicated feeds.

Subscribing to a Podcast differs with each tool. Some of the links shown above (i.e. "Subscribe in iTunes") will automatically add the subscription to your iTunes program. Instructions are provided here by our web services vendor, Hostway, for doing this within iTunes' menus; these instructions should be fairly easy to translate to whatever Podcasting software you choose.
